Petrojet Wins Contract for Yanbu’s Facility Expansion Worth SR 555 Million

Petrojet has signed general contractor contract with Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company (Luberef) for the second expansion works of the Yanbu production facility worth SR 555 million.

This agreement came as part of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy to expand its  projects abroad through its petroleum construction projects.

The contract aims to maximize the Yanbu’s facility production capacity to 1.3 million metric tons of base oils per year by 2025. The existing units will be expanded to their maximum production capacity to increase the production of the second category of oil and start producing the third category.

Additionally, this expansion will allow flexibility in producing more base oils of second and third categories according to the market needs. The contract will start as of the date of the notice of commencement in accordance with the terms of the contract and for a period of 30 months.
