PEDEC, Petropars to Develop South Azadegan Field

The Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) has signed a deal with Petropars Company to complete the final stages of development in the South Azadegan field, according to SHANA.

The general contract for the South Azadegan project and the contract for the development of the South Azadegan oil field and construction of a Central Treatment Export Plant (CTEP) will be signed on July 20, in the presence of the Iranian Minister of Petroleum, Bijan Zangeneh.

The CTEP project will have a capacity of 320,000 barrels per day (bbl/d).

South Azadegan oil field is located in the West Karun region, near to the Iraqi border and around 80 km West of Ahvaz, southwestern Iran. West Karoun fields have an estimated 67 billion barrels of in-situ oil.
