Trials Begin at Zohr’s Onshore Treatment Plant

Trial operations at the onshore natural gas treatment plant for the Zohr natural gas field officially began on the 9th of December, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced in a statement, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.

Trial operations were conducted on two burners on the plant. Furthermore, the pipelines connecting the field to the national grid were tested through pumping natural gas from the national gas grid into the field’s pipelines.

Zohr is estimated to begin producing 350 million cubic feet of natural gas per day before the end of 2017, Egypt Oil & Gas previously reported.
