Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla met with Haitham Al-Ghais, Secretary-General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
The meeting reviewed the possibility of cooperation between the oil and gas sector and OPEC, as the Secretary of OPEC expressed the organization’s readiness to receive a number of young middle management professionals from the petroleum sector for training in the integrated program to review the conditions of the global petroleum market and price expectations at the organization’s headquarters in Vienna.
El Molla explained the importance of the role played by OPEC since its inception to ensure the stability and balance of oil markets, despite the successive global challenges and events.
