EOGC 2025, the 11th edition of Egypt’s leading annual forum on oil and gas dialogue and innovation, starts tomorrow, December 11. The one‑day event will convene senior government officials, global energy leaders, IOCs, service providers, and technology innovators.
“This is the only gathering where the entire ecosystem, government and private Sector, stands side by side to honestly review our upstream Progress.” Said Eng. Mohamed Fouad, CEO of Egypt Oil & Gas.
Attendees will learn about the latest developments in the sector in a live interview between Engineer Fouad and H.E. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, who is expected to outline the challenges and progress the sector has experienced since he took office a year ago.
Over the past year, the sector has succeeded in securing power supply, making progress on arrears repayment, expanding exploration efforts, and building investor confidence, with international oil companies committing billions of dollars in future investments.
Senior executives from top national and international oil companies will take part in three high‑impact panels: “The Low‑Cost, High‑Value Revolution” on innovations that reshape costs and value; “From Stranded to Strategic” on monetizing untapped gas; and “Building a Sustainable Upstream Investment Landscape” on policies and market mechanisms to secure long‑term investment.
The program also features the Operational Excellence Awards Ceremony, recognizing outstanding performance and innovation across the sector.
Additionally, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) will present success stories from companies that adopted technologies and policies developed during a series of infield technical workshops held in 2024 and 2025 by the EOG in collaboration with the EGPC. These six workshops brought together field engineers from different exploration areas nationwide to share firsthand experiences in overcoming operational challenges. The presentation, to be delivered by Tamer Edrees, Deputy of EGPC’s CEO for Production Operations, will showcase practical solutions and field-level recommendations aimed at enhancing operational performance, safety standards, and technical excellence.
The Egypt Oil & Gas Committee, a strategic body that coordinates sectoral initiatives and facilitates communication between the government and investors, has led the technical preparations for the event. Meanwhile, the Egyptian Gas and Energy Association (EGEA)—a nonprofit organization supporting energy sector development—is providing institutional support.
Backed by a comprehensive agenda and top industry figures, the 11th EOGC will underscore Egypt’s drive to build a resilient, competitive, and future‑focused energy sector.
