OAPEC Holds its 101st Meeting in Kuwait

The cabinet of the Organization of the Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries held its 101st meeting in Kuwait to discuss the general secretariat of global oil situation, Egypt Oil and Gas reported.

The meeting was chaired by Abbas Al-Naqi, OAPEC General Secretary, and Suhail Al-Mazroui, UAE Minister of Energy and Industry. Thamer Ghadbhan, Iraqi Oil Minister, and Saad Al-Kaabi, Qatar’s Oil Minister, attended the meeting for the first time.

The meeting’s objective was to increase the cooperation among member countries in all petroleum aspects.

During the meeting, the cabinet reviewed many issues, including the organization’s budget draft for 2019. It also reviewed the annual report of the Arab companies activities to enhance their cooperation, and the extension of the supervision period of Iraq over the Petroleum Institute for training for one year starting from January 2019.

The next meeting will be held in Kuwait on December 22,2019.
