NPPI Secures $1.34 Bn in FY2025 Contracts

The Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries Company (ENPPI) signed contracts worth $1.34 billion in 2025, with nearly 97% of these deals coming from overseas projects, said Chairman Khaled Ibrahim during the general assembly meeting convened to approve the company’s fiscal year (FY) results in 2025.

He explained that ENPPI carried out several major projects, including a pipeline project for ADNOC Onshore stretching nearly 500 kilometers, supporting the efficiency of the energy transportation system and enhancing operational safety.

One of the most significant contracts was in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to execute a liquefied natural gas (LNG) treatment plant project for ADNOC. In Saudi Arabia, Enppi is executing several strategic projects in collaboration with Aramco. These include the construction of four of the world’s largest storage tanks under the C3/C4 NGL project, as well as significant expansions at the Juaymah natural gas liquids (NGL) Terminal, which involved the installation of some of the highest-capacity pumps currently operating in the petroleum sector.

During the meeting, Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, affirmed ENPPI’s accumulated expertise and technical capabilities that have qualified it to execute major engineering projects and operate as a general contractor in line with the highest international standards.

The minister directed the company to prepare a five-year plan aligned with the ministry’s strategy to increase domestic oil and gas production, while keeping pace with the expansion of projects supporting Egypt’s position as a regional energy hub. These include the project to connect Cyprus’s gas fields to Egypt, as well as a strategy for external expansion that accounts for market diversity and the requirements of international projects.

Looking ahead, Ibrahim said ENPPI is targeting new markets after being prequalified to compete for projects in Azerbaijan, Oman, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, and Angola. It was also selected as one of four global companies to provide engineering services and project management supervision for Algeria’s Sonatrach.

The company also implemented major projects in Egypt, most notably the Assiut Hydrocracking Complex (ANOPC), which has a production capacity of 2.8 million tons of diesel annually, Ibrahim noted. In addition, ENPPI implemented a 10 megawatt (MW) solar power plant project for Assiut Oil Refining Company (ASORC).

In 2025, the company reached 130 million safe working hours, supported by digital transformation and AI-driven data analysis for better risk prediction. It also strengthened its social responsibility by launching the ENPPI Applied Technology School, which admitted its first group of students to develop skilled technical professionals.

On the governance and sustainability front, the company joined global initiatives such as the UN Global Compact and the Women’s Empowerment Principles. It took part in the Renew MENA initiative with the World Bank Group.

These efforts led to notable international recognition, including its highest-ever ranking on the ENR list of top international contractors and the MEED Award for Best Energy Project in Egypt for the North Safa Offshore Field Development Project. Additionally, ENPPI entered the MEED Projects rankings for the first time, securing a top-ten position among Arab contracting companies in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and among main contractors in the UAE.
