Nasr Petroleum Company has assigned the Petroleum Safety and Environmental Services Company (PetroSafe) the rehabilitation works to obtain the energy management certificate in accordance with international standards ISO 50001, PetroSafe announced.
This comes within the framework of the efforts of the state and the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to raise environmental awareness, preserve resources and reduce the negative effects of climate change through energy rationalization in the sector companies, where Petrosafe works to maximize and raise the sector’s technical competencies in the field of rationalizing energy consumption through qualification, training, auditing and granting companies various international certificates.
The ISO 50001 certification aims to enable organizations to establish the systems and processes needed to improve energy performance, including energy efficiency, energy use and consumption. The application of this international standard aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, carbon dioxide gases and other related environmental impacts.
