MoPMR Inaugurates Integrated CSR Project in Wadi Al Qamar

The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources has inaugurated an integrated community project as part of an effort to promote health, education, and economic empowerment in the Wadi Al Qamar – Mix Pumps area in Alexandria.

This initiative involved the joint efforts of Egyptian Linear Alkyl Benzene Company (Elab), which is affiliated with the petroleum sector, and the Orman Association.

This comes within the framework of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy for the Egyptian oil and gas sector and close cooperation between the sector and civil society institutions to support the achievement of sustainable development goals within Egypt’s Vision 2030.

The integrated project includes implementing a number of projects that serve the needs of the Wadi Al Qamar – Mix Pumps area in Alexandria Governorate through redeveloping and rehabilitating homes, providing small projects, developing the Wadi Al Qamar Family Medicine Unit, and developing the Mix Pumps School.

It is worth noting that social responsibility initiatives are an integral part of the work strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, which always keeps in mind the societal dimension alongside the economic dimension within the framework of working to achieve sustainable development goals.
