In line with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy to maximize the optimal benefit of human cadres in the sector, Minister Karim Badawi has issued a decision to appoint 16 graduates from the Young Leaders and Middle Management Program to carry out the duties of leadership assistants in the Ministry, the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation, and the holding companies.

This decision agrees with the ministry’s recognition of the importance of the human resources as the true wealth of the industry and a driving force for comprehensive and sustainable development, and for ensuring the transfer of expertise and the sustainability of performance, building on the previously launched ‘Work Shadowing’ initiative.

The decision included the appointment of:

Mohamed Mahmoud Ahmed Younis as the Assistant Head of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ office and the official spokesman for the Ministry,

Ahmed Abu Bakr Mahmoud as  assistant to the Head of the Central Administration for the Technical Office and the Ministry’s official spokesperson,

Mohamed Abdullah Badr Ibrahim as the Assistant Head of the Central Administration for the Technical Office and the official spokesperson,

Tamer Abdo Mohamed Al-Ashmawi as Assistant  to the Vice President (VP) of the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM) for systems, information and communications,

Hamed Abdul Monem Shehata as assistant to the Deputy CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Cooperation (EGPC) for Production,

Mostafa Hussein Sabaa as assistant to the VP of ECJEM for financial and economic affairs,

Reham Mohamed Abdul Fattah as assistant to the VP of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) for Planning, Gas Projects and Business Development,

Kareem Nabil Mohamed Abdul Fattah as assistant to the VP of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) for Planning, Gas Projects, and Business Development,

Mohamed Mustafa el-Husseini as assistant to the First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum for Supervision of the Health Occupational Safety and Health (HSE), Energy Efficiency and Climate Affairs,

Mohamed Ahmed Ismail as assistant to the Executive VP of ECHEM for Planning and Projects,

Amr Essawi Abdul Wahed as assistant to the Deputy CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Cooperation (EGPC) for Administrative Affairs,

Sami Kamal Mo’awad, as assistant to the Chairman of the Central Administration to Exploration Affairs and Supervisor of Contracts and Accords at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources,

Sara Ahmed Gaber Khalil Hussein, as assistant to EGAS Vice President for Domestic Trade and Economic Affairs.

Marawan Samy el-Sawi as assistant to EGPC Deputy CEO for Financial and Economic Affairs,

Mohamed Magdy Bekir Hassan as assistant to ECHEM Vice President for Administrative Affairs,

and Haitham Magdy Desouky as assistant to the Chairman of the Central Administration for Communications at the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
