MoP, EOG-CSR Subcommittee Support Medical Community Against COVID-19

To support the medical community amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Egypt Oil & Gas (EOG) Technical Committee through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) subcommittee have launched an initiative to give back to the community.

Public and private petroleum companies have come together to donate medical gowns, goggles, surgical masks, and other needed medical supplies to quarantine hospitals in Egypt to combat COVID-19. All the medical supplies donated have been proven to meet the standards to combat the virus. Misr El Kheir Foundation will also support the subcommittee’s efforts in delivering the aforementioned equipment.

Total, as a member of the EOG-CSR subcommittee, donated 1,000 fuel cards with 50 liters of fuel/card to the Ministry of Health and Population’s emergency vehicles.

The donor private companies include; Advanced Energy Systems (ADES), Apex International Energy, Bechtel, Cheiron Petroleum Corporation, Dana Gas, ENAP Sipetrol, Energean, ExxonMobil, IPR Group, Kuwait Energy, Methanex, Neptune Energy, Petronas, Schlumberger, Shell, Total, TransGlobe Energy and Wintershall Dea.

The initiative comes in line with the EOG-CSR Subcommitte’s societal contributions and to offer support during the virus outbreak.
