Ministry of Manpower has signed a cooperation protocol agreement with Eni’s subsidiary the International Egyptian Oil Company (IEOC) to work together to provide health, safety and environment (HSE) training to professionals working in the oil and gas sector, the ministry said in a statement.
This protocol agreement was finalized during bilateral discussions between Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Saafan and IEOC’s Human Resources Director Massimiliano Valenti. It will also provide training programs designed to qualify technicians and youth to participate in local and global labor markets.
The minister added that they will finalize their decisions on the general framework for the training programs after carrying out a thorough analytical study on the employment sector in the oil and gas industry, identifying targeted jobs, and selecting the most suitable training.
For his part, Valenti praised the innovative ideas that were contributed to the Youth Training Programs. He also expressed the company’s readiness and keenness to cooperate with the ministry to provide these programs for Egyptian youth willing to join the petroleum sector.
