In a press release to Egypt Oil and Gas, Egyptian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, called for holding an annual workshop that aims to discuss industrial safety and environment protection along with presenting successful role model experiences. The workshop is to be attended by local oil and gas producing companies, as well as foreign firms operating in Egypt’s oil and gas market.
The statement came during the general assembly of Belayim Petroleum (Petrobel) that was held to review the company’s fiscal results for the year 2015/2016.
The minister stated that the oil and gas sector is finalizing one of the most important projects that is meant to develop Nedoko field and South-West Baltim field as a part of the ministry’s strategy to increase local production by drilling 7 gas wells. The first phase of the project will result in producing 700mcf of gas from Nedoko field, to reach 1bcf after the implementation of further improvements and providing necessary pipelines.
