Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi participated at the official inauguration of the 4th edition of Future Minerals Forum (FMF) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on January 15th,2025.
The Forum emerges as key international platform to boost collaboration among governments and investors in the mining sector. Attended by global gathering of mineral repute community: Mining Ministers, Mining International Companies CEOs, and other stakeholders to discuss challenges face this pivotal sector, and offer innovative insights and solutions that supports the industry future and boost its sustainability.
Saudi Arabian Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef, delivered the opening speech of the conference, in which he highlighted the Kingdom’s interest in the mining sector, as it aims to make it the third pillar of the economy after oil and petrochemicals, in order to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Alkhorayef further pointed out the importance of the forum as a basic platform for discussing the future of the mining sector and overcoming the global challenges facing it, as the mining sector worldwide is witnessing great demand and affects the social and economic aspects of countries.
