Middle East Oil Refinery (MIDOR) refined a total of 43.8 million barrels of crude oil in 2018, said Gamal ElKareish, CEO of the company, Egypt Oil & Gas reports.
The company produced 5 million tons of different high quality petroleum products that meet global standards, ElKareish noted during the general assembly chaired by Minister of Petroleum, Tarek El Molla, to review the company’s 2018 results.
MIDOR secured over 3 million tons of petroleum products including diesel; gasoline; butane; naphtha; coal and sulfur, covering 62% of the refinery’s production with $1.7 billion.
The company exported 1.8 million tons of petroleum products with around 38% of its production to global markets including Italy, Spain, UK, US, Argentina, Portuguese and Romania, as well as Algeria, Tunisia, Slovenia and Georgia, ElKareish pointed out.
