Madbouly Lauds Cooperation Between Egypt, Eni

On the sidelines of the Egypt-EU Joint Investment Conference, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, met with Head of North Africa and Levant Region at the Italian company Eni Martina Opizzi and her accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla.

At the beginning of the meeting, Madbouly expressed his strong appreciation for the existing cooperation between the Egyptian government and Eni, which continued despite the economic challenges facing Egypt over the past period, which confirms the company’s confidence in the Egyptian economy.

Additionally, Madbouly affirmed his support for foreign companies operating in Egypt in the field of oil and gas, and the fulfillment of all obligations towards foreign partners working in this vital sector for the Egyptian state.

The Prime Minister indicated that the Egyptian government is keen to advance Eni’s business in Egypt and support its investments in the Egyptian market.

In turn, Opizzi confirmed that Egypt is a very important partner for Eni, emphasizing the continuation of work to enhance possible means of cooperation between the company and the Egyptian government during the coming period.
