Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla to check on the availability of petroleum commodities locally in light of the wave of rising global prices, as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
Madbouly stated that the government periodically monitors the availability of strategic commodities in the local market, especially petroleum products, in light of the challenges witnessed by the global oil and gas markets and their repercussions by increasing prices to unprecedented record levels.
Meanwhile, El Molla confirmed that various petroleum products are available at safe levels, noting that the Ministry of Petroleum closely monitors the movement of international oil prices, and is working to provide a safe stock.
During the meeting, the minister reviewed the status of the Ministry’s financial dues to a number of ministries and various government agencies.
