Maintenance and renovation works at the liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Zueitina Port, in north-eastern Libya, have been completed, Chairman of the Management Committee of the Zueitina Oil Company, Abdul Nasser Zumeet, stated, according to Libya Observer.
The plant will be restarted this week after it had been halted for three and half years because of blockades and shortage of gas supplies, Reuters reported.
Zueitina Oil Company plans a study on future power generation system project as well as the establishment of a new station in the Zueitina port.
Libya’s National Oil Corporation’s Chairman, Mustafa Sanallah, has pointed out his ongoing commitment to paying attention to Zueitina Oil Company and its great environment programs, and expressed the importance of placing them with the prioritized proposed work programs for 2018.
