Libya’s Bahr al-Salam Gas Field Resumes Operations after Maintenance

Libya’s offshore Bahr al-Salam gas field has resumed production at 380 million cubic feet per day after completing upgrades and maintenance, Reuters reported.

The maintenance linked new wells in the field to the coastal station of Sabratha, which sends untreated hydrocarbons to the Mellitah Complex. The developments at Bahr al-Salam are aimed at securing current production levels and supplying the Mellitah Complex “for the years to come,” Libya’s National Oil Company (NOC) stated, according to Reuters.

Mellitah is a joint venture between the NOC and Italy’s Eni.
