A subsidiary of National Oil Corporation (NOC), Brega Petroleum Marketing Company (BPMC), has stated that any intimidation of its employees is completely unacceptable and that further action should be taken, the Libyan Express reported.
This came as the company’s staff were forced to resign and sign agreements accordingly without their consent.
Suspended member of the Management Committee, Khairallah Saleh, is the one who ordered the employees to sign the agreements. However, he is currently under investigation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office for corruption.
BPMC along with NOC said that all the necessary measures to prosecute must be taken immediately, including all those involved in these acts.
BPMC strictly condemns any attempts of its employees’ intimidation, and rejects disruptions to cover up for the incident.
