Layla El Hares announced becoming the new Managing Director for Siemens Egypt.
El Hares expressed her excitement to be working at Siemens and said that she is “looking forward to build on the excellent foundation of the company in Egypt – together with our customers and partners.”
“Our country is steadily on a clear path for energy transition and growth and I am looking forward to continue this great partnership and tap into sustainable, clean energy to strengthen and diversify the economy,” El Hares said.

Layla is an excellent addition to the Siemens Energy team will be instrumental as we navigate the energy transition in partnership with Egypt to achieve its sustainable development vision,” Dietmar Siersdorfer, Managing Director Middle East at Siemens Energy, stated.
Previously, El Hares worked as the General Manager Developments-Eastern Mediterranean and Asset Manager at Shell Egypt for four years.
In December 2021, El Hares was listed by African Shapers as one of the top 100 female executives in the oil and gas industry in Africa.
