A US petrochemical complex owned by Kuwait’s Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) is expected to start operations by the end of 2019, PIC Chairman Mohammed Al-Farhoud told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The petrochemical project will produce 750,000 tons of Ethylene Glycol (EG) each year, and will be jointly implemented between PIC and EQUATE group. The project is currently in the engineering, procurement and construction phase.
PIC is currently seeking to own stakes in petrochemical projects in the US, South Korea and China, Al-Farhoud said on the sidelines of the 13th annual GPCA forum held in Dubai.
