Kuwait’s Al Zour oil refinery is expected to start operations by 2020 with a refining capacity of 615,000 barrels per day (b/d), Zawya Reuters reported.
Around 76% of the project was completed, according to a statement made by the head of the institutional planning team at Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC).
Al-Zour refinery facility processes Kuwaiti crude oil in order to produce high value petroleum products. The refinery is currently in the engineering, procurement and construction phase, with a completion target date of estimated at June 2019, according to Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).
