Kuwait Energy, Misr El Khair Inaugurate Two Schools in Matrouh

Within the framework of the unified corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy for the petroleum sector, two community schools, Baayou and Awlad Hamad, were opened in the village of Fouka, Al-Dabaa, Matrouh Governorate.

The schools were inaugurated in cooperation between Kuwait Energy Company and the Misr El Khair Foundation, to support financing the sustainability of 87 children in the educational process within community schools.

The project generally aimed to sponsor many activities that are implemented to support the target group.

The presence of these schools in these remote areas helps provide educational opportunities for children, especially since the closest schools in these areas are located more than 12 km away, which contributes to eliminating dropouts from education, providing good education opportunities for students in those areas, and raising awareness among families about the importance of education.

CSR initiatives are an integral part of the petroleum sector’s strategy, which always keeps in mind the societal dimension alongside the economic dimension as part of its constant pursuit of achieving sustainable development goals.
