The Kuwait Petroleum Company (KPC) has signed a contract to supply crude oil to a privately owned Chinese oil refinery, The Arab Times reported.

Managing Director for International Marketing at KPC Walid Al-Badran said that representatives from institutions including the Kuwaiti Embassy in China, Kuwait Investment Authority and several Chinese oil companies attended a series of talks on supplying crude oil to the Chinese refinery.

He added that this is the first contract signed by the KPC and a private Chinese refinery.
