KKR, a leading global investment firm, has acquired a minority stake in ADNOC Gas Pipeline Assets LLC, deepening its partnership with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and reinforcing its growth strategy in the Middle East.

The gas pipeline network connects ADNOC’s upstream assets to local off-takers in the UAE. Pipeline ownership and operational management remain with ADNOC. KKR is acquiring a minority stake using the funds it is managing. 

The investment builds on the firms’ 2019 oil pipelines agreement, which was the first of its kind in the region and has become a model for similar transactions across the Middle East.This innovative structure allows regional partners to access global institutional capital while maintaining operational control of their assets.

KKR stated that the new deal highlights its confidence in Abu Dhabi’s position as a world-class investment hub and underscores the firm’s deepening commitment to the region, where it has maintained a presence for 16 years.

This is not KKR’s first investment in the region in 2025. Earlier this year, it invested in Dubai-based Gulf Data Hub, a leading independent data center platform, to support digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) leadership in the region.

Globally, KKR has become one of the most active investors in the sector since kicking off its Infrastructure Strategy in 2008, managing in infrastructure assets worth more than $90 billion through a team of over 130 professionals spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.
