Egypt is to partner with Israel in several projects including solar energy projects as Israel is preparing to provide cooperation and assistance to the north African nation in the fields of solar energy, electricity production, agriculture, irrigation and gas, reported Ynetnews.
In addition, Egypt is examining the possibility of extending its cooperation to the tourism sector after it experienced a drop of tourism.
While Saudi Arabia aids halt and small parts of financial support are received from UAE and Kuwait, Egypt has partnered with Israel in a series of projects in different fields after many years of separation in economic cooperation between the two countries, reported World Tribune.
In related news, the Israeli Energy Minister, Yuval Steinitz, had stated that Israel wanted more than one export route to channel natural gas discoveries in the eastern Mediterranean to Europe. The available delivery options to Europe range from a pipeline linking Israel, Greece, and Turkey, via a pipeline, or the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage facilities in Egypt.
