The Ministry of Oil has announced that the Iraqi Drilling Company has completed the drilling and reclamation of 199 oil wells during the past year of 2023.

According to the Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company, Khalid Hamza Abbas, the national effort of the technical and engineering teams has been crucial to this achievement.

“The company’s technical and engineering staff completed the drilling of 67 oil wells, in addition to the restoration of 132 oil wells, during the past year 2023 in the Iraqi oil fields in the cities of the north, center, and south,” said Abbas.

He stated that the teams have accumulated experience and skill and have utilized modern methods in internationally approved drilling operations.

Additionally, they have maintained a commitment to quality performance and health, safety, and environmental standards, in accordance with the requirements of the standard specifications of the integrated management system that the company applies.
