Iraq to Build New Refinery in Kirkuk

The Iraqi Ministry of Oil plans to construct a new refinery in Kirkuk, according to Minister Thamer Ghadhban, Reuters reported.

The refinery will have a production capacity of around 150,000 barrels per day (b/d).

“The ministry has put the final touches on building an investment refinery in Kirkuk with a capacity of 150,000 barrels per day and according to the latest international standards,” Ghadhban said during a visit to the northern city.
