The Iraqi government announced that it will sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with US energy company Honeywell for natural gas processing from the Artawi southern oilfield, according to Zawya.
The agreement is expected to later be developed into a contract to process gas from five oilfields, Iraq’s Ministry of Oil spokesman, Asim Jihad, said.
Iraq’s oil exports from its southern ports have reached 3.42 million barrels per day (b/d) in July after decreasing in June to 3.39 million b/d down from 3.441 million b/d in May.
