Iran’s Petrochemicals Records Increase by 12.8% in Five Months

The Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Mohammad Rezvanifar has announced that petrochemical products increased by 12.8% during the five months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20-August 21), compared to the same period in the past year, Tehran Times reported.

He added that that state’s petrochemical exports reached 24.5 million tons worth $9.8 billion during the five months.

Additionally, the Head of Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Morteza Shahmirzaei noted that the Iran Petrochemical production is predicted to reach 50 million during the current Iranian calendar year that ends in late March 2025.

He elaborated that the Iranian Oil Ministry targets to provide sustainable supply of feed to petrochemical complexes, noting the petrochemical exports reached 30 million tons during the previous Iranian calendar year that ended on March 19.
