Iran, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan Sign Trilateral Gas Swap Agreement

Iran, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan have signed a three-way agreement for gas swaps between the three countries, Shana news agency announced.

According to the agreement, 1.5 to 2 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas will be transported annually from Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan through Iran.

The tripartite document was signed by Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
