Iran will stand against US sanctions considering them “fully illegal”, Bijan Zanganeh, Iranian Oil Minister, said on January 10, announcing that Tehran would not comply with the sanctions, Reuters reported.

Iran would not prevail any details concerning the volume or the destinations of its oil exports as long as it is under the sanctions, Zanganeh pointed out.

“We believe that we should not comply with the illegal sanctions against Iran,” Zanganeh said at a joint news conference in Baghdad with his Iraqi counterpart, Thamer Al-Ghadhban.

Until the moment, Iraq had not agreed with Iran about how to develop joint oil fields, Ghadhban noted.
