The National Iranian Oil Company’s (NIOC) CEO Mohsen Khojastehmehr expressed confidence that Iran’s natural gas production in winter will reach 940 million cubic meters per day (mmcm/d), Shana news agency reported.

During a meeting attended by the Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi, he elaborated that this amount of natural gas will be produced from the land and sea sectors. “Of this amount, 700 million cubic meters of gas will be through 37 offshore platforms in the Persian Gulf and the South Pars gas field,” Khojastehmehr noted.

The CEO added that the country will have enough fuel this winter, as the maximum amount of natural gas will be produced. There will also be liquid fuel if needed.
