Iran stated that it successfully completed the installation of the jacket platform for the development project of the shared Belal gas field, located in the reservoir block on the border between Iran and Qatar.

The jacket platform, weighing 3,100 tons and standing 75 meters tall, was installed using the float-over method by the (Sadra-5000) installation vessel at a depth of 65 meters in the Persian Gulf.

The jacket constructed with a $16 million investment by Iranian engineers at the Sadra Marine Industrial Company.

The development of the Belal gas field, led by the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and supervised by Pars Oil and Gas Company, has been awarded to Petropars as the general contractor. The field has a daily production capacity of 500 million cubic feet of gas (mmcf).
