Iran Soon to Export Gasoline

Speaking to a group of officials in Kerman Province, central Iran, the country’s First Vice-President, Eshaq Jahangiri, said that Iran has now become a major exporter of gasoil, and will soon turn into an exporter of gasoline, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported.

According to Azer News, the oil fields common with other countries were one of the main pivots of economy of resistance in 2016, as the official disclosed.

Jahangiri added that just almost eight years ago, Iran’s amount of gas extraction from South Pars almost equaled that of Qatar, and when current government took office, the Qataris extracted gas from the field twice as much.

“Such a gap should be interpreted as plunder of public wealth: The share and right of Iranian nation was plundered by a miniature state,” he stated.

The Vice-President further said that during President Rouhani’s term in office, his government focused on the South Pars and the amount of Iran’s extraction equaled with that of the Qataris, and it is to exceed Qatar during the current Iranian calendar year, 1396 (late March 2017- late March 2018).

He also announced that Iran’s oil recovery from joint oil fields west of Karoon River has increased.
