IDM Wins Khalda Petroleum Tender to Manage Drilling Equipment

The International Drilling Material Manufacturing Company (IDM) led by a joint alliance with major raw materials factories, succeeded in winning a tender from Khalda Petroleum Company worth $200 million to manage the manufacture and supply of 45,000 tons annually of well drilling equipment and supplies for a period of three years.

This comes within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR), which attaches importance to integration between national companies and encouraging local manufacturing.

This is the second alliance led by IDM since the Egyptian oil and gas sector companies began implementing the VMI system in their contracts, which aims to achieve the maximum economic benefit from the production companies’ drilling equipment inventory.

The company previously succeeded in winning a tender from Petrobel worth $150 million to manage the manufacture and supply of well drilling equipment and supplies for a period of three years. This is part of the company’s efforts to become the main and strategic hub for managing the Egyptian petroleum sector companies’ inventory of well drilling missions.
