Huawei, a leading provider of information, communications, and energy technology solutions, has held a conference on its latest smart solutions for photovoltaic energy at the FusionSolar Conference.
The company organizes this event annually to highlight the role of digital technology in developing and improving new sources of energy, such as solar energy and enhancing the efficiency of its use.
During the conference activities, Huawei revealed its latest solutions in the field of photovoltaic energy and energy storage systems. This included Power-M solutions, which are ideal for homes and small and medium-sized residential and commercial establishments in the event of a power outage. Power-M relies on lithium batteries to store energy from the electrical grid, solar energy, or both together, ensuring the provision of energy supply and uninterrupted electricity 24 hours a day.
They also presented Power-S, which is used on a larger scale than Power-M, as an emergency power source in the event of a power outage in large commercial and industrial institutions and facilities. It replaces traditional diesel generators that cause a high degree of pollution and noise, are difficult to maintain, and require high operating expenses.
Huawei’s smart solutions, Power-M and Power-S, are easy to install and operate automatically in the event of a power outage. They are also easy to control remotely, as well as being environmentally friendly and noiseless, as they store reliable backup power in the event of a power outage, thanks to their built-in battery and inverter system. This comes in line with Huawei’s vision of accelerating the transition towards clean and sustainable energy.
During the conference, Huawei also presented energy storage solutions, such as the LUNA lithium battery equipped with a battery management system. This system allows old or damaged batteries to be separated from the system, ensuring that other batteries continue to operate at full capacity. This also increases the usable energy by more than about 10%.
On this occasion, Jim Liu, CEO of Huawei Egypt, said: “Huawei is committed to accelerating the digital transformation in the energy sector in Egypt by working with its partners to promote and support the future of sustainable energy, to support Egypt’s Vision 2030 and its strategy for clean and sustainable energy and with the aim of developing ways to obtain renewable energy for a green and more sustainable future.”
For his part, Joey Deng, CEO of Digital Energy Business at Huawei Egypt, added: “The FusionSolar conference reflects our strategy for clean and green energy transformation in the field of photovoltaic energy and energy storage systems, as Huawei is keen to integrate artificial intelligence technologies with environmentally friendly and low-carbon energy solutions, with the aim of building smart, low-carbon societies relying on digital technologies for a better and more sustainable future.”
Huawei’s annual conference FusionSolar comes within the framework of its strategy to build smart, carbon-free communities, in line with Egypt’s vision to rely on a mix of renewable energies by 2030 and the National Climate Strategy 2050 by contributing to reaching carbon neutrality and achieving sustainability.
