Hexagon Awarded Iraqi Order for LNG Cylinders

Hexagon Ragasco won a major new order for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders from the Iraqi Gas Filling Company (GFC), Egypt Oil & Gas reported.

The value of the contract is approximately $15 million. Deliveries to Iraq are scheduled to start during the last quarter of 2017 and continue into the first quarter of 2018, according to Iraq Business News.

The contract will enable Iraq to expand its usage of composite LPG cylinders in its domestic market.

“The Middle East is an important market for us. The region continues to invest in lightweight composite cylinders that will help to make domestic use of LPG safer and more user-friendly,” Managing Director of Hexagon Ragasco, Skjalg S. Stavheim, said.

Hexagon Ragasco is a leading manufacturer of composite LPG cylinders. Based out of Norway, it is a subsidiary of Hexagon Composites.
