ConocoPhillips Skandinavia AS, a US.-based multinational energy corporation, has contracted Halliburton, one of the world’s major energy solutions provider, to supply integrated well stimulation services designed to increase well efficiency and maximize reservoir production.
According to Halliburton’s statement, the contract’s term is five years, with the option to extend it for three additional periods.
Under the agreement, Tidewater’s vessel, North Pomor, will be converted into an upgraded stimulation vessel able to supply offshore well stimulation services in the North Sea. These upgrades will feature Octiv® digital fracturing services to optimize the stimulation equipment performance and operational efficiency.
“We are pleased to strengthen our longstanding relationship with ConocoPhillips through this important award. This contract complements our extensive experience in well stimulation and highlights how we execute globally. The combination of our latest technology and our focus on automation and safety is how we maximize value for our customers,” said Mark Dawson, Senior Vice President at Halliburton’s Completion and Production division.
This not the first cooperation between the two firms. In 2010, Halliburton’s subsidiary, Sperry Drilling, was awarded a two-year contract by ConocoPhillips China Inc. for services in Peng Lai, located in China’s Bohai Bay region.
