The Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO) organized organized three events for people with disabilities in different locations across Egypt, under the patronage of Engineer Abdelwahab El-Maghoury, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director. This step reflects the company’s commitment to its social responsibilities and its keenness to enhance the community participation of people with disabilities.
One of the events was organized by the Egyptian Workers Youth Union in the Sayeda Zeinab area, featuring a variety of recreational and educational activities designed to enhance social interaction and life skills for individuals with disabilities.
In Ras Ghareb, GUPCO organized an event dedicated to students with disabilities at a local school, which included educational workshops, in addition to simplified sports games aimed at developing physical and mental skills. Gifts and educational materials were also distributed to the children.
In another distinguished step, the company organized an event for people with disabilities in Hurghada, where a full day of diverse activities was organized. This event was an opportunity to enhance communication between people with disabilities and the local community, in addition to highlighting their needs and rights in society.
These activities come within the framework of the efforts of GUPCO to implement the sector’s strategy that is in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030.Through its various community initiatives, GUPCO seeks to achieve sustainable development and support different segments of society, especially people with disabilities, based on its belief in the importance of social integration and improving the quality of life of citizens.
