Under the directives of the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Tarek El Molla, and in light of the Safety Week, the General Petroleum Company (GPC) Chairman, Nabil Abdelsadek, as well as GPC’s officials are preparing for a safety event on December 5, according to a press release.
Abdelsadek and Hesham El Sherif, Assistant Chairman for HSE, visited the Eastern Desert fields. During their visit, Abdelsadek delivered a speech, stressing the importance of working according to the occupational health and safety principles in all sites, in addition to raising awareness among employees on the vitality of being committed to these principles to avoid any risks.
Furthermore, a team of Chairman Assistants and prominent leaders was created, arranging visits to the Western Desert, Alexandria, and Sinai. Within the different sites, the company’s leaders asserted that occupational health and safety, as well as environment preservation mainly aim to create a safe and risk-free working environment.
Abdelsadek pointed out by the end of the safety week event that GPC is always keen to raise awareness among employees, develop their abilities through trainings, taking into consideration that health and safety are contributing greatly to the national economy.
