Genel Energy plc (Genel) announces the completion of five development wells at  Tawke PSC in the licence during the quarter, three drilling rigs were released, but the Company-operated workover rig continues to service production wells, according to a press release.  

Genel also published production at the Tawke and Peshkabir fields in Iraq in Q1 2020, totalling 61,493 barrels per day (bpd) at Tawke and 52,714 (bpd) at Peshkabir respectively.

 The Peshkabir-to-Tawke gas capture, transport and reinjection project to end CO2 emissions at Peshkabir and boost oil recovery at Tawke is completed and undergoing commissioning.
