Genel Energy announced that it has completed testing the TT-20z well of the Taq Taq field, located at the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Pipeline Oil and Gas Magazine reported.
The well testing has resulted in a successful oil flow, with an initial production capacity of around 2,000 barrels of oil per day (b/d), which is expected to increase in the future.
“The well is further proof of the remaining potential on the flanks of Taq Taq field,” the company stated.
The gross production from the field is currently around 15,500 b/d, with Genel’s overall net production around 39,000 b/d.
