Gastec Signs Cooperation Protocol to Support “Egypt in Our Eyes” Initiative in Beni Suef

Within the framework of the social responsibility strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MoPMR) and its continuous keenness to enhance the contributions of its companies in supporting health care, Gastec signed a cooperation protocol with Mervat Soltan Charity Foundation supporting “Egypt in Our Eyes” initiative to combat the causes of blindness and visual impairment for the incapable people in Beni Suef.

The protocol was signed by Abdel Fattah Farhat, Chairman and Managing Director of Gastec Company, and  Abdel Aziz Hassouba, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mervat Soltan Foundation, representing the Foundation, in the presence of social responsibility officials from the MoPMR and Gastec.

In cooperation with the Foundation, Gastec will support the initiative by providing medical care to eye patients among residents of remote areas in the village of Qaftan Al-Gharbia and surrounding villages in the Samsta center of Beni Suef. This will be achieved through a medical convoy that includes specialized doctors and technicians to conduct essential examinations, treatments, and surgeries for eye patients. The initiative will also provide necessary medications, eyeglasses, and medical supplies to help prevent blindness and visual impairment, as well as cover the costs of scans and treatments.

For his part Farhat, stressed the company’s keenness to provide all forms of support to ensure the success of this initiative to contribute to helping Egypt’s children and youth recover from this dangerous disease and fully integrate them into society.

He highlighted the priority that Gastec gives to supporting service projects that have a positive impact in serving and supporting the most needy areas and alleviating the burden on community members,
