Abdelfattah Farahat, the Egyptian International Gas Technology Company (Gastec)’s Chairman and Managing Director, elaborated some steps that are taken prior turning any vehicle into a gas-powered one, El Watan News reported.

The vehicle has to undergo a technical check up to ensure the engine’s validity to run on gas, at which it has to be more than 70% effective, Farahat explained.

Farahat added that the check up process includes installing the converting system, the gas cylinder and all the cables to meet all the standard specifications and the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) conditions.
