The CEO of the Fuel Consumption Optimization Company Hossein Hosseinzadeh announced plans to reduce energy consumption in three sectors: industry, transportation, and construction., aiming to save 1.285 million barrels of crude oil equivalent (mmboe) by the end of the seventh development program (2028).
He said that a short- and medium-term emergency plan has been designed, which is fully operational for this regard.
Hosseinzadeh noted that this plan will be achieved without using any government funds, relying solely on private sector participation, including petrochemical, steel, cement, and other industry investors.
The CEO added that the current plan aims targets savings equivalent to two phases of the South Pars gas field, by the end of 2025. The program includes optimization in areas such as heating systems, rail transportation, metro wagons, greenhouses, and brick and cement factories.
