Five to Seven Agreements to Transform SCZone into Global Hub for Exporting Renewable Energy

Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El Said stated that there are five to seven companies ready to sign final agreements next week for exporting renewable energy at the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).

In an interview with Bloomberg Al-Sharq, El Said elaborated that 15 agreements as well as 15 consortiums were signed with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy during the past period to be prepared for exporting renewable energy at the  SCZone. 

The minister said that Egypt targets to turn the SCZone into a hub for exporting renewable energy to Africa and globally.

She noted that Egypt has all facilities to become a global source of new and renewable energy.
