Vice President of Global Exploration at ExxonMobil John Ardill has showcased the company’s progress in its business in Egypt.
This came during his meeting with the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El Molla, on the sidelines of Egypt Energy Show (EGYPES) 2024 discussing the company’s business expansion plan in Egypt.
Ardill explained the situation of seismic survey which the company conducts in its concession areas in Egypt on a distance of 10,000 km. He noted that 40% of the program is completed and that the initial results indicate promising potentials.
Ardill highlighted the intention of the company to set intensive drilling programs aiming at accelerating the development of any discoveries made using new technologies.
He added that ExxonMobil has a long history in Egypt in the field of transportation and distribution of petroleum products and seeks to achieve similar successes in the field of research and exploration, pointing to the company’s desire to hold joint workshops with the Egyptian side to study the results of the seismic research program and determine work plans and programs during the coming period.
