Egypt Oil & Gas (EOG) Technical Committee has welcomed five new members to its board.
Karim Badawi, Managing Director of Egypt and East Mediterranean at Schlumberger, has been in the company for 21 years. He started his path as a field engineer in Indonesia, further contributing in Egypt and France. In the end of May, he came back to Egypt after eight years of contribution in Russia.
Hussam Abuseif, Director and General Manager Egypt, Sudan, and South Sudan at Baker Hughes, a GE company (BHGE), has 23 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. His previous roles in BHGE include Vice President of Pressure Pumping for the Middle East and Asia Pacific Regions, and Director of Marketing and Business Development for the Middle East Region.
Sameh Sabry, DEA Country Manager, joined DEA 10 years ago and has assumed different managerial roles mainly in North Africa and Europe. He gained experience in leading positions such as the general manager of DEA’s branch in Algeria and as deputy of the general manager of DEA Egypt branch for extended periods of time.
Hussein Fouad El Ghazzawy, Schlumberger former Vice President and General Manager, took an early retirement in July after 34 years of contribution in the company. During his career, El Ghazzawy worked in Pakistan, Nigeria, Russia, Libya, the UAE, Yemen, and Egypt.
Marwan El Shazly, Petroleum Services Marketing and Contracts Manager at Pan Marine, has been working at the company for the past 13 years. His experience includes offshore drilling and vessels, and maritime operations.
